Mangalananda, though an American by birth, has spent many years of his life connected with India and lived the last twelve years of his life in his Guru’s Ashram (Sri Anandamayi Ma) in Central India. He yearly tours Europe, the US and India, sharing kirtan and spiritual workshops.
Mangalananda is a kirtan singer well-versed in the traditional kirtan style of the rural villages of India. Though an American by birth, through a lifetime of association with Indian culture and twelve years living in a small ashram in central India, he has learned by deep immersion the traditional spiritual music of India. His kirtan is couched in the mystical ragas of India and is full of the lively ecstatic joy of the Divine Names. He will be joined by some of the most talented names in kirtan in the West today: Prajna Vieira, David Estes, Daniel Paul and others. Come and share the joy!
